Hwange National Park
The largest national parks in Zimbabwe, and amongst the 10 largest in the whole of Africa. It measures 14, 651sq km. it is only an hour’s drive from the majestic Victoria Falls, and home to many bird species and wild animals. Amongst the vast bird species are secretary bird, guinea fowls, blue crane, vultures to name but a few. It is also home to plenty of elephants, as well as wild dogs, buffalos, cheetahs, hyenas lions, giraffes, and many more.
It also hosts a number of campsites and luxury lodges. It's easily accessible by road, but highly recommend 4 x 4 vehicles, especially in the rainy season, as well as air. The best time for game viewing is the dry season, May through to October when the green vegetation is gone.
