Zimbabwe
Zimbabwe a very safe and friendly country. With Victoria falls as the country’s main tourist hub, Zimbabwe is also one of Southern Africa’s most rewarding big game safari destinations. It borders Zambia, South Africa, Botswana and Mozambique making it easily accessible and an all year rounder destination with short, mild winters and long warm summers.
The winter (May to September) is warm with sunshine in the day, and cold and clear nights. It is a good time to visit Zimbabwe as there is no rain and animals congregate around waterholes, making it easier to spot wildlife.
Summer is wet and hot (October to April) Zimbawe’s summer is the rainy season which is beautiful with dramatic thunderstorms. Many animals give birth in this rainy season making it a good time to see new-borns. It is low season and a fewer tourists are seen compared to winter and dry period.
It is home to other beautiful attractions, monuments and parks, like the Lake Kariba, Hwange National Park, Matopos and Great Zimbabwe. A visit to Zimbabwe will show you spectacular landscapes and diverse wildlife – with each park and place offering its own kind. It is inevitably a rich country with not only parks but also World Heritage listed archaeological spots and natural wonders.
